Product Description
Ecopan-40 contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach. Pantoprazole is used under medical supervision for selected acid-related conditions, such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), certain ulcers and conditions involving excessive stomach acid.
The tablet is enteric-coated (gastro-resistant) to protect the medicine from stomach acid; it must be swallowed whole. The suitability and duration of treatment depend on the patient's diagnosis and the healthcare professional's assessment.
